During the 1930s, numerous private commissions were undertaken in the Barbieux neighbourhood and its neighbour, the Vauban neighbourhood. Architects and contractors even chose to settle there. In these residential areas, a new generation of buildings often featured an Art Deco style with multiple references and styles. A curious detour at the end of the tour will open the doors to an Art Deco hall.
