Presentation
After the First World War, which left Comines in ruins, life gradually returned to normal. The town drew inspiration from its past to rebuild its streets and design its buildings, influenced by the style that had been characteristic of the town and the region: the Flemish Renaissance. The town hall and Saint-Chrysole church were built to give shape to the Grand Place. During this guided tour, you will discover the belfry, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and a neo-Byzantine style church.
