Presentation
Built in 1926 by the architect Auguste Georges Dubois, the Villa Sonneville is a remarkable example of bourgeois architecture in Roubaix. Commissioned by Albert Sonneville, a wool merchant, painter and officer of the Ministry of Public Education, it combined a residence, a studio and a private museum. A passionate collector, he housed one of the region’s finest art collections there. This gem of the Vauban-Barbieux neighbourhood is now an art gallery and residence.
