Presentation

What is a belfry?

It's an ancient wooden defensive tower. In Armentières, it has been destroyed many times and rebuilt again and again, first in wood and then in brick. Its last architect was Louis-Marie Cordonnier. He succeeded in restoring its proud appearance after the destruction of 1914-1918.
To admire the breathtaking panorama, simply follow the guide up some 200 steps.
