Escape for two days and one night with this trip organised by Ch’tis Voyages à Vélo, specialists in cycling holidays in the region.
From the centre of Lille and its iconic monuments, set off to discover varied and surprising landscapes. After setting off from the Grands Boulevards with their majestic Art Deco façades, you will follow the Roubaix canal before joining the Paris-Roubaix cycle route. Take advantage of your visit to the impressive Villa Cavrois to explore it, if you wish, before heading towards the Mélantois countryside.In Sainghin-en-Mélantois, a comfortable guesthouse welcomes you for a peaceful evening in a pleasant, green setting.
The next day, you will head for Bouvines, famous for its battle in 1214, then continue your journey to the Fretin marshes, a true haven of nature. A little further on, the Seclin canal will guide you for the rest of the ride. You can then choose to go through Mosaïc Park or return to Lille via the very pleasant towpath that runs alongside the Deûle. The loop ends on a high note with an arrival at the famous Citadel Park.
