Presentation

Saint-Pierre de Bouvines is a listed historic monument, and its 21 sparkling stained glass windows highlight scenes from the battle fought in the summer of 1214. This veritable comic strip will take you through the key stages of the battle, enabling you to understand the military strategies, political issues and historical consequences of this major event charged with emotion and heroism.

Good to know
  • This guided tour in French is available from April onwards, every second Sunday of the month at 5pm.Please be there 10 minutes before the start of the tour.
  • On presentation of a certificate, a reduced rate is available for: under-18s, students, jobseekers, RSA recipients, the over-62s, families of more than four, disabled people and their carers, and greeters.
  • Free for children under 6, with prior booking.
  • This tour is free for tour guides on presentation of their professional card, and can be booked by telephone or at the reception desk of one of the Metropolitan Tourist Office branches.
  • This tour will be free on Sundays 12 July and 9 August.
