Built at the end of the 19th century by architect Edouard Dupire-Rozan, this mansion was commissioned by Pierre Catteau, a wealthy industrialist and politician.
Upon his death, the city acquired his residence to house the Roubaix Courthouse. Its wooded garden, now known as Square Catteau, has been open to the people of Roubaix since 1891.
