Presentation

A classic visit to Fort du Vert Galant, one of General Séré de Rivières' crown of “single-crested” forts built around Lille in the aftermath of the 1870 war to protect Lille from a possible new invasion by Prussia and its German allies. Bring closed shoes that are not muddy or dusty, as well as a torch or mobile phone flashlight for certain sections.
