Presentation
Archaeological digs carried out in the 1960s confirmed the ancient origins of the town of Croix.
In the space of just a few centuries, Croix grew from a small area of farmland into a village organised around a church and ordered by a lord in the 11th century.
Sparsely populated and inward-looking, with a mainly agricultural population, the town expanded in the 19th century during the industrial revolution.
This tour invites you to discover the history of the town through its exceptional heritage.
